For a decade, Thierry Bocarra has been developing a modern line of high class carpets under his brand “TB” (Thierry Boccara Design).
These carpets are handmade in our workshops using ancestral techniques and plant based dye and are signed “TB”.
All of our TB signed carpets are certified by the INPI (National Institute of Protection of Innovations).
Thierry Bocarra also collaborates with famous artists, such as Georges Hanskens who signed a series of 8 carpets based on his paintings.
These extremely refined carpets, true works of art, can be made in very large dimensions on request.
Since 2009, Thierry Boccara is a member of the SNA (National union of antiquarians).
The Thierry Boccara gallery
The rarity and the exception
The Thierry Boccara gallery follows on from a family business founded in 1890 by E.Boccara.
In 1948 Robert Boccara and his younger brother Dario Boccara, run the gallery located at 18 place Bellecour.
In 1963 the brothers open the Dario Boccara gallery in Paris, at 184, rue du Faubourg saint Honoré, specializing in ancient tapestries, which would become internationally famous.
From 1986, Thierry Boccara, 5th generation, runs the gallery located in Lyon together with his father Robert Boccara.
In 1993 he is designated expert assessor for the customs.
Since its foundation in 1890, the Bocarra house has always produced its own carpets, and since the 20’s, run weaver’s workshops in Iran.
In 1950, magnificent wool and silk carpets are woven in workshops in Tabriz (Iran) and in Goom.
